Silvia yoga teacher

Silvia Gallego

Sílvia Gallego is a telecommunications engineer by profession. Years ago she decided to change course and give herself to her passion: yoga. After passing through university and entering the world of work in the telecommunications market, he began to experience an emotional emptiness accompanied by different physical ailments: lumbar pain, frequent contractures, asthma, anxiety. To alleviate them, and due to those causal coincidences of life, he discovered yoga so as not to abandon it.

After several years as a practitioner, he decided to train with his teacher Habib Ba. As a teacher, she began substituting for her teacher when he became ill and unfortunately ended up substituting for him. Even so, as a yoga lover, she is an eternal learner and student, a tireless seeker of peace and happiness.

A disciple above all of her teacher Habib Ba, she has also received valuable teachings from Montserrat Serra (AEPY trainer), Marta Puig (Restorative Yoga), Mariona Royo (Yin Yoga), Swami Ananta Sri (meditation) and Héctor Díaz (Energy Healing), as well as each of the people with whom he has the pleasure of meeting.

Silvia perceives yoga as a tool to recover physical health, but above all to obtain mental calm. His personal experience has shown him that people who actively work with their minds can be prone to stress, and with it, all the associated physical, emotional, and mental limitations. Yoga brings us closer to this state of fullness, where from a focused and calm mind we are able to interact with the environment. Not from the immediate reaction, but from the slow action.

She is also the author of the book “Breathing and Yoga”, the result of the internal and personal search that has led her to the study and research of yoga and breathing. She currently participates in Sincronia as a writer and collaborator.

"Yoga brings us closer to this state of fullness, where from a focused and calm mind we are able to interact with the environment."
