Sometimes in yoga classes we focus only on the correct performance of the asanas instead of feeling and living in a practice that helps us gain consciousness. This raises questions such as: What should I feel? Should I stop or go on? Where do I put my attention? We wait for external validation instead of relying on our internal experience.
We are in a society overwhelmed by the noise of constant external stimuli, our senses are overwhelmed. If we can rediscover the capacity of each sense, take possession of its potential again, we will be able to discern what is important and what we can do without in each moment. To go from being a distraction to living them with conscience, to open ourselves to our senses so that they give us support and at the same time we do not depend on them.
In this retreat we want to focus on exploring with and from the senses in order to know and respect the “times of the body”. With the intention of fine-tuning the internal perception and the external space, this leads us to an experience strengthened in our own feeling and from which emanates a confidence in our own action. A disinterested, fully felt action is what allows us to transform our practice into a space of self-knowledge.
We will use yoga, meditation and somatic movement to isolate ourselves from external stimuli or on the contrary live fully the information that each sense gives us. This will allow us to sharpen the perception of body sensations and help to discern between what I perceive, what I feel and what really happens.
The intention of this retreat is that everyone finds their own individual space and at the same time generates a shared place of debate and experimentation. Without pretensions or dogmatism. It is only an offer where all the activities are optional and above all so that you have time for yourself, to feel yourself.
We will be in an isolated farmhouse in a natural environment where we will have vegetarian food (or vegan on request). The activities will be led by:
Jonatan González. Hatha Vinyasa teacher in Synchrony since March 2017. It has an integral perspective of yoga, attending to the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual aspects of the practice. It combines the aligned and dynamic work of Hatha Vinyasa, with the more therapeutic perspectives of TCI, the philosophy of yoga and the anatomical knowledge of Quiromassage.
Nina Piulats Finger. facilitator and collaborator of courses and projects of Contemporary Dance, Somatic Movement and Contact Improvisation since 2010. Hatha Vinyasa Yoga teacher since 2017, manual therapist and somatic movement educator in Body-Mind Centering®. She seeks to bring together pedagogical, performative and philosophical-artistic research variants; focusing her vision on the individual and shared experience of the embodiment process, with her own body as a guide.
