What are our Hatha yoga classes like in Barcelona?

Hatha yoga is a calm, mindful style of yoga accessible to everyone, even those who have never practiced before. In our classes, we work on postures, breathing, and relaxation in a slow, deliberate way, taking time to feel the body and connect with the present moment.

Unlike other more intense or fast-paced styles, hatha yoga seeks a balance between strength and calm. That's why many people choose it to reduce stress, improve posture, gain flexibility, and learn to breathe better in their daily lives.

Who are Hatha classes for?

Hatha yoga classes in Barcelona are ideal if you're looking to slow down, take care of your body, and dedicate some time to yourself. Age and skill level don't matter: everyone adapts the practice to their needs and progresses at their own pace.

Hatha yoga is excellent for relieving muscle tension, improving mobility, and disconnecting from daily life. It also helps calm the mind and restore energy, something we often need after the fast pace of city life.

Hatha yoga postures and asanas

Hatha yoga classes can vary greatly depending on the teaching style of each instructor. In fact, it's a style that offers considerable freedom in creating the practice. There are more relaxed classes where postures are held for longer periods, others with a more fluid and dynamic rhythm, and still others where breath and mindfulness play a central role.

Our Hatha yoga classes in Barcelona

In Sincronia's face-to-face hatha yoga classes, we follow a progressive and conscious practice, designed so that you can connect with yourself from the very first moment and progress respecting your body's rhythm.

The class usually begins with gentle movements and mobility exercises, such as the cat and cow poses, to awaken the body, mobilize the spine, and release tension. We gradually warm up with flowing sequences and simple postures that prepare the body for the practice.

Throughout the session, we work on different asanas adapted to each person's level. Some of the most common are Warrior pose, Tree pose (Vrikshasana), and gentle forward bends like Paschimottanasana. The goal is not to push the body, but to find stability, balance, and presence in each pose.

At Sincronia, we place great importance on conscious breathing and mindfulness throughout the practice. Learning to synchronize breath and movement helps the body relax, the mind calm down, and makes the yoga experience much more complete.

The classes end with Savasana, the final relaxation, a moment to integrate everything worked on and give yourself a few minutes of calm and deep rest before returning to the rhythm of the day.

The word “hatha” comes from Sanskrit: “ha” represents the sun and “tha” the moon, symbolizing the balance between opposing energies.
