NAMASTE

I'm Andrea Cortijo...

I started practicing yoga by chance while working at a gym in Barcelona. A colleague invited me to a yoga class, and little by little, yoga became integrated into my life, leading me towards self-knowledge.

My journey in yoga began over 20 years ago in Barcelona. What started almost by chance soon became my greatest personal tool for self-care and self-discovery. In 2014, I decided to take a break from my life and traveled to India to complete my first Hatha Yoga teacher training at the Yoga Vidya Gurukul Institute. Upon returning, driven by a desire to share my experience, I began teaching.

Since then, my commitment to an inclusive and adaptive approach has led me to pursue ongoing training in disciplines such as Yin Yoga and Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, as well as deepening my meditation practice through Vipassana meditation and the MBSR stress reduction program. Currently, I am enriching my therapeutic perspective by training in Gestalt Therapy, which allows me to guide you in integrating what happens on the mat with your present moment.

Through an accessible and mindful yoga practice, I will guide you so that the practice helps you listen to yourself, prioritize yourself, regulate your emotions, and improve your relationship with yourself with absolute kindness.
